Some interesting information has come in regarding Anthropic’s IPO developments. According to a report by PANews, the company appears to be stepping up its preparations for going public and has hired the law firm Wilson Sonsini.

As for timing, it reportedly could list as early as 2026. However, since that depends on an early timeline, it’s also certainly possible that things could be a bit later.

What’s worth paying attention to is the size of the private funding round that Anthropic is considering. It’s said the valuation could exceed 300 billion dollars, which is a very big deal. Multiple major investment banks are reportedly discussing the IPO plan, but at this stage it still appears to be in an unofficial phase, and the underwriters have not been selected yet.

On Anthropic’s side, they say that given the company’s current scale and revenue situation, operating like a publicly listed company is a natural next step. That said, they are also taking a cautious stance, indicating that the timing and feasibility of a listing have not yet been officially determined.

With the rapid evolution of AI and market demand, when a major company like Anthropic will go public is likely to be a significant event for the industry as a whole. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on how things play out with the 2026 timeline.
