Analysis: U.S. sanctions remain in place, causing near halt of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz

Odaily Planet Daily reported that the traffic conditions in the Strait of Hormuz remain largely stagnant, with only occasional ships related to Iran passing through. According to vessel tracking data, as of Thursday morning local time, only one large cargo ship associated with Iran was observed departing from the Persian Gulf. On Wednesday, the security situation in the strait further deteriorated, when Iranian warships fired upon commercial ships, and the United States intercepted two oil tankers from Tehran. (Jin10)
