Iraq's Rabia border crossing reopens

On the 20th local time, Omar Waili, Director of the Iraq Border Port Authority, announced that the Rabia border crossing between northern Iraq and Syria has reopened from that day.
In 2011, after the outbreak of the Syrian civil war, the Rabia border crossing located in Nineveh Province in northern Iraq, which borders Syria, has been closed for a long time due to the security situation in Syria and its surrounding areas.
Omar Waili stated that the reopening of the Rabia border crossing will promote the flow of people, trade, and crude oil transactions between Iraq, Syria, and neighboring countries through this port.
