Chinese Embassy in Japan: Once again urges Japan to promptly investigate the intrusion incident

The Chinese Embassy in Japan recently held a press conference regarding a series of recent terrorist threats. With regard to the incident involving Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force Third Lieutenant Akihiro Murata—on March 24, he scaled the wall and forced entry into the Chinese Embassy in Japan with a knife—the embassy again urged the Japanese side to investigate thoroughly as soon as possible and provide China with a responsible explanation. The Chinese Embassy in Japan said that Murata was holding a sharp knife with a length of 31 centimeters; after climbing over the wall, he trespassed into the embassy and threatened to kill Chinese diplomatic personnel. The facts are clear and the evidence is conclusive. Before Murata was handed over to the police, the embassy took the necessary measures to ensure the safety of the embassy premises and personnel, and followed the necessary procedures, allowing Japanese police to enter the embassy to jointly handle the case.( Xinhua)
