Taiwan Market Cap Reaches $4.14T as AI Chip Demand Lifts TSMC

Taiwan’s stock market reached $4.14 trillion this month, overtaking the United Kingdom’s $4.09 trillion market to become the world’s seventh-largest. The Kobeissi Letter said Taiwan’s market cap has tripled since 2020, driven largely by AI-fueled semiconductor gains, with TSMC accounting for more than 40% of the market. March exports rose 65.9% year over year to a record $91.12 billion, while foreign investors bought $8.9 billion of Taiwanese shares in April alone.
