On April 21, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Guo Jiakun hosted a routine press conference.
During the meeting, Guo Jiakun announced that Wang Yi will visit Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar from April 22 to 26 at the invitation.
During the visit to Cambodia, Wang Yi will jointly attend the first meeting of the China-Cambodia Foreign Minister and Defense Minister “2+2” strategic dialogue mechanism with Defense Minister Dong Jun.
Guo Jiakun stated that Cambodia is accelerating the implementation of the “Five-Point Strategy,” and the new governments of Thailand and Myanmar have just been formed, with all three countries in a critical period of development.
The Chinese side looks forward to strengthening the ironclad friendship with Cambodia through this visit, enriching the connotation of “China-Thailand as one family,” promoting the brotherly friendship between China and Myanmar, bringing more benefits to the people of their respective countries, and making greater contributions to regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity.
