China calls on the international community to support a peaceful resolution to the Middle East.
Chinese Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Fu Cong, emphasized at the UN Security Council meeting that the international community should respect the autonomous choices of the people in the Middle East, support Arab countries in resolving conflicts and strengthening unity, and explore development paths that suit their own national conditions. Fu Cong pointed out that the Middle East issue should be resolved through political means, and Arab countries have unique advantages. Currently, the situation in the Middle East is tense, and the international community should encourage dialogue and negotiations to prevent the escalation of conflict. Fu Cong specifically mentioned that the “two-state solution” is the only viable way to resolve the Palestinian issue, and China is willing to work with Arab countries to promote peace and development in the Middle East.
