Iranian official: Iran has never demanded a ceasefire
Golden Finance reports that on April 23rd, local time on April 22nd, Iran’s Islamic Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Ebrahim Azizi stated in an interview that Iran has never requested a ceasefire, and many of the Iranian people disagree with a ceasefire, demanding to pursue victory and confront the enemy with tougher measures. Azizi said that the Iranian military believes this ceasefire is an opportunity to “rearm,” and Iran has maximized this opportunity. Azizi also stated that the enemy is untrustworthy and continues to break promises, including on the ceasefire issue in Lebanon. (Jin10)
