Pyth Shifts to Revenue Model as Pythnet Shutdown Targets 2026

Pyth Network said it is overhauling its infrastructure and token economics, while the PYTH Reserve has repurchased about 12 million PYTH with protocol revenue. Pythnet is set to be gradually shut down by 2026 as development focus moves to the next-generation network Lazer. The OIS staking reward mechanism will end by setting parameter Y to 0, while the security slashing mechanism will remain in place.
