🛡 Rare statement from the U.S. military: Bitcoin is not just an asset, but also a cybersecurity tool
At a hearing of the Senate Armed Services Committee, U.S. Navy Admiral Samuel Paparo stated:
Bitcoin is not only a financial asset but also a "valuable computer science tool."
He emphasized that its PoW (Proof of Work) mechanism has practical significance in cybersecurity:
- Increasing attack costs
- Enhancing protection of data and command signals
- Providing an additional security layer for critical systems
Paparo even pointed out that beyond its economic layer, Bitcoin has already possessed the infrastructure attributes of cybersecurity.
Additionally, as early as 2023, U.S. Space Force member Jason Lowery also expressed similar views.
This signals that a clear message is emerging:
Bitcoin's value narrative is extending from "financial asset" to "national security tool."
💡 Inspirational quote:
Truly long-lasting technology is not just an asset priced by the market, but also infrastructure redefined by the times.
