AI Infrastructure DGrid launches AI inference API supporting the X402 protocol, with on-chain payments via BNBChain
Mars Finance News, AI Smart Routing and Infrastructure Network DGrid AI announces the official launch of its AI inference API integrated with the x402 payment protocol. This API seamlessly combines payment logic with AI model calls for the first time, allowing developers and AI agents to complete authorization, inference, and payment within a single API request lifecycle without managing cumbersome API keys or performing centralized account pre-recharges. It is reported that this API currently supports BNB Chain (BSC) as the underlying settlement network. With the micro-payment features of the x402 protocol, the system can achieve extremely low-friction on-chain real-time settlements while ensuring call costs are absolutely controllable. Additionally, this API supports streaming responses and real-time usage feedback, compatible with mainstream AI calling methods, suitable for various scenarios including AI agent model selection, inference billing, intelligent agents, and multi-task execution. DGrid states that this move aims to completely break the prepayment barrier of traditional large model calls and provide a programmable underlying payment infrastructure for building fully automated AI agent economies (machine-to-machine trading).
