The U.S. Department of State urges U.S. citizens to leave Iran immediately.

Golden Finance reports that on April 23, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs posted on social media that, in light of Iran’s announcement of partial reopening of its airspace, U.S. citizens in Iran should leave immediately. The post stated that the Bureau of Consular Affairs recommends U.S. citizens pay attention to the latest updates on the situation from local media, and can also consult commercial airlines for flight information departing from Iran. Additionally, U.S. citizens can travel by land to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan, but should avoid traveling to Afghanistan, Iraq, or border regions with Iran in Pakistan.
