I came across a few PFP communities discussing "upgrading membership benefits," so I clicked in and looked around for half an hour. The excitement is real, but it also feels a bit like a attention contest... Changing avatars for a round, issuing badges around, and suddenly the group's mood is ignited.

To put it simply, whether PFP can sustain long-term success doesn't really depend on how good the images look; it’s more about whether you can continue to be treated as a "person" after joining: information, resources, offline events, collaboration opportunities, even just stable output and transparent governance. Relying solely on temporary benefits and airdrops will feel empty once the hype subsides.

Recently, some regions have increased taxes and tightened compliance, causing expectations around deposits and withdrawals to shift. People's patience with whether "membership is worth it" will also shorten, and funds are more likely to flow toward narratives with stronger certainty. Anyway, I’ll wait for the hype to settle, and slowly build a brand that can prove itself over time—no rush to chase that wave of popularity.
