So BTC is sitting around 78K right now, and I've been thinking about how wild the swings used to be versus what we're seeing now. This current drawdown is hovering around 47%, which honestly feels pretty tame compared to what crypto went through in earlier cycles. I mean, we're talking about bear markets that used to crush things by 90% back in the day. Is crypto in a bear market right now? Yeah, but the volatility just doesn't hit the same anymore. A few analysts I follow have been pointing out that these market cycles seem to be getting less extreme over time. Like, the amplitude of the swings is actually flattening out. That's why some of them think we might not see the absolute bloodbath we used to - they're calling for a potential bottom somewhere in that 60-70% range if things really go south. Pretty different from watching entire portfolios get wiped out, honestly. Makes you wonder if we're just getting more mature market structure or if the bear market cycle itself is actually evolving.
