I just found out that Aileen Gu has joined Benchmark as a senior investment manager. This was confirmed by Bill Gurley, the company's CEO. Benchmark is a serious venture firm that funded Uber, Zillow, and Nextdoor. I'm curious about which projects she will oversee. Gu clearly brings new energy to their investment portfolio. It seems this was planned even before the Winter Olympics. A smart move for such an authoritative company.
