Abstract generation in progress

Kroger plans to invest $129 million in the suburban Cincinnati area in 2026, including converting three stores to its larger Marketplace format and remodeling up to 15 others. This expansion strategy comes as rivals Publix and Walmart are also increasing their presence and updating stores in the region. The new Marketplace locations will be in West Chester, Hamilton, and Cold Spring, Kentucky, aiming to defend Kroger’s market share in its home territory.
