Exxon Mobil Corp is reportedly considering selling its network of 39 gasoline stations in Hong Kong, operating under the Esso brand, for an estimated $500 million to $600 million. This potential divestment aligns with Exxon’s global strategy to streamline assets and comes amid volatility in crude markets and pressure on the retail fuel industry, with Hong Kong having some of the highest gasoline prices globally. Chevron Corp also recently sold its Hong Kong fuel business.
