X releases two updates: XChat now supports sharing group chat links and will officially discontinue X Communities
Golden Finance reports that on April 23, Nikita Bier, head of X product and Solana advisor, announced two product changes related to community organization on X, including:
· XChat now supports joinable link group chats. Users can create a public link to share directly on their timeline. Each group chat supports 350 members (and is still increasing).
· Due to declining usage, the X platform will officially deprecate X Communities on May 6.
