Have you seen the news? The U.S. Central Command just announced a significant maritime blockade on Iranian ports. This is serious this time.

Specifically, starting April 13 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, they will monitor all maritime traffic entering or leaving Iranian ports. We're talking about the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, the strategic zones par excellence. This measure directly impacts all ships operating in these waters.

What’s interesting to note is that the blockade does not extend to ships transiting to other non-Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. So there is still some distinction in implementation; it’s not a total shutdown of maritime traffic in the region.

For sailors and operators, it’s important to stay vigilant. They need to monitor navigation warnings and use channel 16 for Bridge-to-Bridge communications in the affected areas. Maritime traffic in this region is so crucial to the global economy that such measures never go unnoticed.

This situation really warrants close attention, especially if you are involved directly or indirectly in international trade.
