The U.S. Department of State demands that American citizens in Iran leave immediately.

Odaily Planet Daily News reports that on the 22nd, the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs posted on social media that, in light of Iran’s announcement of partial reopening of its airspace, U.S. citizens in Iran should leave immediately. The post stated that the Bureau of Consular Affairs recommends U.S. citizens stay informed about the latest updates on the situation from local media, and they can also consult commercial airlines for flight information departing from Iran. Additionally, U.S. citizens can travel overland to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Turkmenistan, but should avoid traveling to border regions with Afghanistan, Iraq, or Pakistan near Iran.
