After the two airstrikes by the United States and Israel on the Karaj City Beik Highway Bridge in Iran, Iranian media on the 2nd listed targets in the Middle East that Iran may carry out as retaliation.

According to Iranian media, the Karaj City Beik Highway Bridge—described as the highest bridge in the Middle East and an iconic Iranian engineering masterpiece—was damaged in two airstrikes by the United States and Israel on the 2nd.

The airstrikes killed 8 civilians and injured another 95 people. The relevant road sections have been fully closed.

Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that the transportation network in the region is a “deadly vulnerability” for the U.S. and Israel, and Iran may launch retaliatory attacks against it.

The report listed multiple railway and highway transportation corridors used by the U.S. and Israel for military equipment, including the Yarkon Bridge and Itzre’el Tunnel in Israel, which are used to transport heavy military equipment and fuel ammunition, as well as land routes passing through the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.

The report also listed several transportation chokepoints, including Israel’s Haifa Port and Rehovot Station, as well as multiple highways connecting Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa.

The report said that as long as any of the above locations is destroyed, “it would be enough to reduce the enemy’s military response capability to the minimum level.”

On the 2nd, U.S. President Trump posted a video on social media, saying that the airstrikes destroyed Iran’s “largest bridge” and pressuring Iran to “reach an agreement” with the United States. In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi said that damaging civilian facilities will not force Iran to surrender.
