Recently, a bunch of testnet "incentives" have made everyone feel like they're clocking in for work. The group chats are daily asking whether the mainnet will issue tokens... To put it simply, most points are just an emotional amplifier. Whether you can finally cash out for real depends on the project's mood and how the rules are changed.

My current approach has only two steps: first, calculate the costs (gas, time, opportunity cost of putting money there), then consider whether it's "worth being front-run." If you can get free rewards, don't leverage; if you can do small amounts, don't go all-in; for those that require locking liquidity for a long time, first understand the impermanent loss and exit conditions clearly, or else before the airdrop arrives, the pool will teach you a lesson. Anyway, I’d rather miss out than turn myself into a KPI for the project just to stay in the game. Yeah, that’s it. I’m off to work.
