I've been thinking lately that Alibaba's AI strategy is becoming quite interesting. There was a story about Jack Ma visiting Hangzhou Yun Gu School during the Spring Festival period, discussing the relationship between education and AI, and it's pretty fascinating. The fact that senior executives including Chairman Joe Tsai and CEO Daniel Zhang are engaging with students and faculty shows their serious commitment.

What Ma emphasized was that AI would reduce rote memorization and shift education toward fostering more creativity. I believe this is actually what the entire market is looking for. As Daniel Zhang pointed out, qualities like curiosity and empathy—human traits—are what differentiate us from AI. The importance of critical thinking is also recognized, and the conversation is shifting from simply utilizing AI to rethinking the relationship between humans and AI.

Meanwhile, Alibaba's AI business apparently achieved a major milestone during the Spring Festival. The Qwen 3.5-Plus model has reached a level comparable to Gemini 3 Pro in performance, and the Qwen app's monthly active users have grown to over 230 million. This is starting to make a significant impact. The strategic triangle layout of the Huitou chip, Alibaba Cloud, and the Qwen model is also emerging, clearly showing their serious commitment to AI technology.

The fact that these discussions are happening in educational settings suggests that AI is no longer just a technological trend but is beginning to function as a force driving societal change. Watching how this approach, involving figures like Daniel Zhang, unfolds in the future will be very interesting.
