Just read that Zakk from X Layer shared interesting thoughts on meme development in the Chinese space. To summarize briefly: the meaning of memes is often reduced only to hype, but that shouldn't be the case.
His point is actually quite understandable. Memes are cool, yes, but if everything is just about stimulation and quick profits, the deeper value is lost. What we need is a more diverse ecosystem where different types of memes can grow side by side – not just loud, hype-driven projects.
Interestingly, he also observed that AI memes mainly originate on platforms like Base, but are hardly represented in the Chinese ecosystem. In his opinion, this is because there is a lack of responsible platforms that actively promote such developments. Without the right infrastructure, an ecosystem simply can't keep up.
Ultimately, it's about memes having meaning beyond mere speculation. A more robust, diverse approach could bring more stability and genuine growth to the entire crypto ecosystem. Makes sense, right?
