I'm currently tracking a fascinating development: The synergy between Tesla, xAI, and SpaceX is taking increasingly concrete shape. What is emerging here is essentially a closed AI ecosystem that could fundamentally change the market.
The interesting part begins with Tesla's energy storage business. The figures for 2025 show nearly 50 percent growth, and a large portion of this capacity is directly fed into xAI's Colossus training facility – we're talking about 336 Megapacks powering this massive AI infrastructure. This is no coincidence; it's pure strategy.
Tesla is also working in parallel on its own AI chips to become less dependent on NVIDIA. The upcoming AI5 and AI6 generations are specifically designed for Optimus robots and data centers. This means: higher efficiency, lower costs, maximum control over the entire hardware stack.
And then SpaceX comes into play. Orbital data centers powered by Tesla's chips and solar energy – it sounds even more futuristic, but the plans are concrete. Starlink provides global connectivity, Tesla vehicles continuously generate data, and xAI models process this data. A completely closed system.
When you combine all this, we have a combined company value of over $2 trillion, growing through this mutual reinforcement. This creates a competitive advantage that companies like Google, Microsoft, or NVIDIA can't easily imitate. Each company amplifies the others – this is real synergy, not just marketing talk.
The question is not if, but when this system will really get into gear.
