I just saw Max Keiser again online refuting that old conspiracy theory about the CIA and Bitcoin. The truth is, the argument he presents makes a lot of sense when I think about it.
The guy points out something obvious but that many overlook: Bitcoin's open-source code. If the CIA had really been behind all this, do you honestly think they would let anyone inspect every line of code? Additionally, Max Keiser mentions Satoshi Nakamoto's very distinctive writing style as evidence. It's hard to imagine a government agency leaving such identifiable linguistic traces.
What's interesting is that while Max Keiser dismantles this narrative point by point, others like Tucker Carlson continue to insist on it. Tucker's argument revolves around distrust of centralized power and government secrecy, which I understand, but it doesn't necessarily prove anything concrete.
And then there's Richard Heart throwing his hat into the ring. The guy points out something technical that’s not minor: Bitcoin uses the secp256k1 elliptic curve, which differs from U.S. standards. According to him, that makes it even less likely to have been a CIA project.
Anyway, it's one of those debates that keeps circulating in the community. Max Keiser remains quite straightforward in his positions, and honestly, the technical arguments he raises deserve consideration.
