European Council President: Fully and unconditionally reopening the Strait of Hormuz is the top priority

On the 20th local time, European Council President Costa posted on social media that he had a phone call that day with Jordan’s King Abdullah II. Costa said that the EU is concerned about peace and stability in the Middle East and that the EU is maintaining close cooperation with key regional partners, including Jordan. Costa emphasized that the full and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz remains the top priority at present. Costa also said that the EU continues to pay close attention to the situation in Lebanon.
