I just saw news about a major exchange CEO denying the New York Times report related to his memoir draft. He said that the content in that draft is not the final version and is not entirely accurate. The interesting part is that the draft also reveals some pretty dramatic stories — such as inviting an MIT professor as an advisor who was then rejected, and later became a regulatory agency leader and filed a lawsuit. There’s also a story involving another founder in 2019, with their relationship gradually souring, leading up to the 2022 crisis when that person sought financial support but was refused. The memoir draft also mentions a visa detention incident that was later resolved. The entire draft is still being edited, so he’s quite upset about the details being leaked. It’s quite interesting to see how everyone reacts to these revelations.
