U.S. President Trump has repeatedly threatened to send Iran back to the “Stone Age” in recent days, and he mentioned this again in a nationwide speech delivered on April 1. In response, several Iranian officials issued replies, saying that such remarks reflect “Stone Age thinking,” and that it is the United States that sends its soldiers to the grave—not Iran being sent back to the “Stone Age.”

Majid Moussavi, commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, responded on social media on April 2, saying it is the United States that sends its soldiers to the grave—not Iran being sent back to the “Stone Age.” The United States has even tried to threaten a country with more than 6,000 years of civilization by citing a mere 250 years of brief history.

On April 2, Iran’s First Vice President Are f also wrote on social media that only “Stone Age thinking” would threaten another country using “Stone Age” language. On the same day, Hazrat i, chairman of the Iranian Government Information Committee, said that the U.S. president’s speech caused no harm to Iran, and instead made Iran even more united. (CCTV News)
