Southwest Airlines confirmed that one of its flights, Southwest Flight 507, had to perform a precautionary go-around and use evasive action to avoid a potential collision with another Southwest flight, Flight 1152, at Nashville International Airport. The incident occurred when air traffic control instructions placed Flight 507 in the path of the departing Flight 1152. Both flight crews responded to onboard alerts, and the airline is cooperating with the Federal Aviation Administration’s investigation into the matter.
