Costco’s popular $5 rotisserie chicken is once again the subject of a class-action lawsuit. The new suit, filed in February 2026, alleges that the chickens may contain Salmonella beyond federal safety guidelines, citing a 2025 report from the nonprofit Farm Forward. Costco has disputed these claims, arguing its rotisserie chickens are fully cooked, which kills harmful bacteria.
