I've noticed something interesting these past few days with Bitcoin. OTC activity is really booming right now, with over 82% of transactions happening outside traditional trading platforms. It's a pretty strong signal that large institutional buyers are making their moves discreetly, away from prying eyes.
What struck me is that small investors have apparently jumped ship. Daily realized losses have dropped drastically compared to the $400 million we saw before, and transfers of old positions to exchanges are minimal. That means the weak hands have disappeared and the market is finding a better balance.
The interesting thing about this rise in OTC is that it reflects how institutions are gradually absorbing the supply. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is currently testing $79,000. The previous resistance levels around $73,000–$74,000 have been broken. If this OTC dynamic continues, we could see an acceleration, but it all depends on how the market reacts to the next liquidity levels.
