Bessent: The U.S. Navy will continue to blockade Iranian ports and maintain "maximum pressure" on Iran

Golden Finance reported that on April 22, U.S. Treasury Secretary Beizent posted on social media that the U.S. Navy will continue to blockade Iranian ports, and the U.S. Treasury will continue to apply “maximum pressure” on Iran. Beizent said that within a few days, the oil storage facilities at Iran’s key oil export hub, Kharg Island, will reach full capacity and Iranian oil wells will shut down. He said that restricting Iran’s maritime trade can directly target its main income channel. Beizent also said that the U.S. Treasury will continue to apply “maximum pressure” on Iran through the “Economic Fury Action” to “systematically weaken Iran’s ability to raise, transfer, and recycle funds.” ( Xinhua News Agency )
