The XRP Ledger recently underwent a significant upgrade. According to David Schwartz, former CTO of (Emeritus) at Ripple, this ecosystem experienced a very short downtime, less than ten minutes, to deploy planned software updates.

The good thing is that the entire process went very smoothly. Schwartz emphasized that the infrastructure centers operated stably before the upgrade, so there were no major concerns. This is just part of maintaining and improving the system.

This upgrade includes deploying XRPL 3.2.0-b3 along with improvements to the operating system and platform. The main goal is to increase efficiency, security, and scalability of the network. At the same time, the XRP Ledger Foundation also announced some changes in the list of independent nodes—Gen3Labs just joined while the University of São Paulo withdrew.

Overall, these actions reflect XRP Ledger’s ongoing efforts to maintain decentralization, enhance network reliability, and ensure compatibility with financial applications. Recent upgrades demonstrate this ecosystem’s strong commitment to operational reliability and long-term scalability.
