Odaily Planet Daily News reports that today (April 22), Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Baghaee said that Iran has not yet decided whether to participate in a new round of negotiations with the United States. In an interview with the media, Baghaee said that Iran has, in good faith and with a serious attitude, taken part in the first round of negotiations with the United States, but the U.S. has shown a cold attitude and lacked sincerity, and its position has been repeatedly uncertain. He said that Iran’s side has already made its position clear: if it is in the national interests for Iran to go to Islamabad, Pakistan, to attend the talks, it will participate, but it has not yet made any decision. Baghaee said that the United States’ blockade of Iran’s ports is an act of aggression, and that the shooting at and seizure of Iranian merchant ships are not actions that a country genuinely committed to a serious diplomatic process should take.
