A hospital in central Sudan was attacked, resulting in 10 deaths and 22 injuries.

The Sudanese Ministry of Health issued a statement on the 2nd saying that the Rapid Support Forces, a paramilitary organization, used drones to attack Jubailein Hospital in White Nile State, central Sudan, causing the deaths of 10 medical and administrative staff, and injuring 22 civilians including children.
The statement said the attack caused severe damage to multiple departments inside the hospital’s emergency building, including the hospital director among the deceased.
The Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation issued a statement on the same day saying that at the time, the hospital was conducting a children’s immunization campaign, and the attack destroyed most of the hospital’s facilities and medical equipment.
The Rapid Support Forces have not responded to this.
On April 15, 2023, armed clashes broke out between the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces in Khartoum, the capital, and the fighting subsequently spread to other regions.
The nearly three-year armed conflict has caused a large number of civilian deaths.
Since this year, drone attacks in Sudan have significantly increased, seriously threatening civilian safety and civilian infrastructure.
