I just saw the latest figures from Forbes, and honestly, it's impressive what’s happening with Elon Musk’s fortune. The guy has just become the first person in history to surpass $800 billion in net worth. We’re talking about $839 billion according to the March 2026 ranking.
What’s interesting is how he got here. Since May 2024, he has maintained the position of the world’s richest person, but the growth in these last few months has been practically exponential. In just the last month, he added $64 billion. Since the start of 2026, he has accumulated more than $100 billion in gains. This is no coincidence; it’s the direct result of how the valuations of his companies have evolved.
If you think about it, the milestones he reached in such a short time are staggering. He went from $500 billion in October 2025 to surpass $600 billion, then $700 billion, and finally break the $800 billion barrier. Speed is what catches the eye.
Now he is more than $500 billion ahead of Larry Page, who is the second-richest person. The gap is simply enormous. This reflects how Elon Musk’s wealth has become concentrated in a way never before seen in the history of modern capitalism. It’s definitely a moment to watch how the market continues to react to this.
