Golden Finance reports that on April 22, according to Iran’s News Television, Iran urged the United Nations to order the United States to release the Iranian cargo ship “TOUSKA” and its crew, stating that the U.S. detention action is “piracy.” The report said that Iran’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Iravani, sent a letter on the 21st to UN Secretary-General Guterres and the rotating chair of the Security Council this month, requesting the UN to order the U.S. to immediately and unconditionally release the Iranian cargo ship “TOUSKA,” its crew, crew members’ families, and all other affected personnel.
