CryptoWorld News reports that the European Commission announced plans on Wednesday to reduce electricity taxes and coordinate summer natural gas reserve replenishments to address the energy impacts of the Iran conflict. The plan aims to avoid major interventions such as restricting natural gas prices or imposing windfall taxes, while also amending regulations to ensure electricity taxes remain lower than natural gas, and allowing the government to reduce electricity bills for businesses and vulnerable households to zero in order to lower expenses.
