According to Beincrypto, Mastercard announced that on April 21, 2026, it will join the Blockchain Security Standards Committee (BSSC) as a founding member, participating in the development of security frameworks for blockchain networks and tokenized assets, and joining working groups related to security and privacy; the committee is a non-profit alliance with members including Coinbase, Fireblocks, Anchorage Digital, BitGo, and others; Claire Le Gal, head of Mastercard's security solutions division, will represent the company on the board.
