The National Energy Administration released data on electric vehicle charging infrastructure nationwide as of February 2026. According to data from the National Charging Infrastructure Monitoring Service Platform, by the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging points (guns) in China reached 21.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Among them, public charging facilities (guns) numbered 4.83M, a year-on-year increase of 28.8%, with the rated total power of public charging facilities reaching 229 million kilowatts, and an average power of approximately 47.41 kilowatts; private charging facilities (guns) numbered 16.18M, a year-on-year increase of 54.6%, with the reported electrical capacity for private charging facilities reaching 141 million kVA.
