The Dutch government announced a package bailout plan on the 20th totaling approximately 1 billion euros to alleviate the pressure on the public and businesses caused by high energy prices.
The Dutch government stated in a release that the plan includes 627 million euros in fiscal expenditure measures and 340 million euros in special cost-cutting measures.
The statement also said that the Netherlands encourages the development of new energy vehicles, calls on the public to use public transportation, and supports energy-saving renovations for businesses.
Additionally, the statement pointed out that although the Netherlands has not yet experienced serious energy shortages, to better respond to potential supply disruptions, the Netherlands has decided to activate the first phase of the oil crisis response plan, including strengthening energy market monitoring, maintaining close communication with businesses and social groups, and preparing for subsequent response measures.
