On April 22, a White House official announced on the 21st that Vice President Pence’s planned trip to Pakistan for that day has been canceled. According to CNN, the official stated in a statement that, given President Trump’s recent social media post confirming that the U.S. is awaiting a proposal from Iran, the visit to Pakistan will not take place today. Updates regarding U.S.-Iran face-to-face talks will be released by the White House. (Xinhua News Agency)
