Gold Finance reported that on April 22, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron are continuing to push forward diplomatic efforts to restore free passage through this vital waterway. At the same time, the UK and France will hold a new round of a military planning personnel summit to discuss how to keep the Strait of Hormuz open. In a statement, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said that planners from more than 30 countries will take part in a two-day meeting in northern London, which will “advance military plans to reopen the strait as soon as possible after a sustainable ceasefire agreement is reached.”

“Today and tomorrow’s task is to turn diplomatic consensus into a joint plan to maintain freedom of navigation through the strait and support a lasting ceasefire,” UK Defense Secretary John Healey said in the statement. “I believe that real progress can be made over the next two days.” ( East News Agency )
