Is the funding rate "alarming"? This rally might hide a classic trap
If you only look at the price, you'll think Bitcoin is incredibly strong; but if you look at the funding rate, you might start to hesitate.
When the funding rate continues to rise, it means longs are paying the cost to maintain their positions. In this situation, once the price stops rising, longs will face pressure to close their positions.
Historically, multiple instances of "high rate + sideways consolidation at high levels" have evolved into quick pullbacks.
But there are exceptions: if the rally is strong enough, the rate can stay high for a long time.
So the key isn't the rate itself, but whether the price continues to break through.
—Conclusion: The funding rate isn't a signal to short, but a reminder to not blindly chase longs. #Gate13周年现场直击
