Wireless intercoms have been coming out in many varieties lately, but don't you find it confusing to choose the right one? When I looked into it myself, I was surprised by how many different types there are.

From those that can connect to smartphones to traditional monitor-type models, the range of recommended intercom products is broad. Brands range from overseas manufacturers like TP-Link, Google, and Amazon to domestic brands such as Panasonic and Aiphone. The fact that many can be installed by yourself without professional installation is also appealing.

Personally, what I focus on is image quality and camera field of view. Especially, how clearly faces are captured even in backlit or dark environments feels very important. Also, ease of battery replacement is a key point for long-term use. Some models feature voice changer functions or automatic recording with human motion sensors, which can make a big difference in security.

Smartphone apps that allow you to check from outside are convenient, but you need to be aware that some require network setup or paid subscription registration. On the other hand, traditional monitor-type models are easier to set up, but tend to have limited image quality and features.

For homes with frequent package deliveries, choosing a model with a downward-facing camera angle makes it easier to check the status of your parcels. If you have many visitors, an intercom with a wide-angle lens is recommended. Conversely, for rental homes with few visitors, a simple and inexpensive model might suffice.

In any case, the basics are "easy to install and clearly see the visitor's face." High-functionality models are convenient, but ultimately, selecting an intercom that suits your lifestyle will give you the highest satisfaction. Also, consider dustproof and waterproof features if you live in an area with frequent bad weather.
