The U.S. denies Iran shot down a U.S. military aircraft, stating all aircraft are safe.
According to the U.S. Central Command, the U.S. denies the claim made by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that they shot down an “enemy” fighter jet near Kish Island in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. side stated that all U.S. military aircraft have been confirmed safe, with no reports of being shot down. Central Command pointed out that Iran has issued similar statements multiple times before, but they have all been proven to be falsehoods. (CCTV News)
