BlockBeats news, April 22 — GPT-5.5 has appeared in the dropdown list of OpenAI Codex’s model selector, at the very top of the list.

After selecting GPT-5.5 and submitting the request, Codex returns a 400 error, prompting: “The ‘gpt-5.5’ model is not supported when using Codex with a ChatGPT account.” The model is currently unavailable. As of now, OpenAI has not released any official announcements or documentation regarding GPT-5.5.
