Recently, in Qingyuan, Guangdong, the first methanol-powered ship in the Greater Bay Area, “Yuechuangying 002,” equipped with Weichai 6WH17 methanol marine power, successfully completed its test voyage.
This test voyage covered key aspects such as dock mooring, low-speed maneuvering, full-speed navigation, turning and reversing braking, and mainly verified the full operational capability of the ship’s pure methanol power system under all working conditions.
