BlockBeats News, April 22 — AI programming startup Cursor developer Anysphere completed a $400k pre-seed funding round in April 2022, jointly invested by Alameda Research and Heroic Ventures. Among them, Alameda invested $200k in Anysphere and acquired about 5% equity. FTX bankruptcy documents show that the FTX bankruptcy estate sold shares of Anysphere held by Alameda Research entities for $200k in April 2023.

SpaceX announced today a partnership with Cursor to jointly develop the next-generation coding and knowledge work AI. The specific terms include Cursor granting SpaceX an option later this year to acquire the company for $60 billion; if SpaceX does not exercise the option, $10 billion will be paid as a collaboration fee. Currently, Cursor is valued at $60 billion, and based on this valuation, the shares previously sold by FTX are worth approximately $3 billion.
